  1. It looks like pretty much anyone qualifies: Only available to K-12, higher education students, parents purchasing on behalf of students, education institution employees, faculty, staff, school board and PTA/PTO executives for K-12 and higher education institutions

  2. When I configure on their website the cheapest I can get it with the lowest price Surface Pro 4 comes to $978. It says starting at $878, but I don’t see how to get it down to that price. The deal is pretty good, though since you end up with two controllers and a $50 card, which I assume you can use towards buying games.

$1407 for the SP4 with 8GB RAM, 256 SSD, Xbox One Bundle, Extra controller, Free Game, $50 Gift Card, and Type Cover. If I didn’t already have a laptop, I think this would be a really interesting deal.

    1. I see a surface pro 4 for $659, regular price on that alone is $899

It’s $898 with that surface, xbox one + extras and the crew video game.

It says a Savings of $498

      1. It seems that there is some cost for the Xbox one.

Interesting deal. I don’t really want an Xbox one though.

      2. Yeah, only worth it if you didn’t have one and wanted one also.

Best Buy has that surface for $799, just for the machine, so this bundle at $898 is not a bad deal.

  3. Xbox One S is already out (pre-order), and a new Surface Pro will probably be out soon too. This seems like a pretty good inventory clearing deal.

  4. I don’t know what I value the Xbox one at
There is a new ps4 coming out that supports 4K

    1. The Blu Ray Player in the Xbox One S is a Ultra HD Blu-Ray player which I think are pretty expensive right now as stand alone units.

And its only $299 in base config.

  5. Going cheap with the surface makes it interesting too. Makes the free Xbox a much higher percentage.

  6. Wonder if Best Buy would match. They have a college coupon for money off a surface as well.

    1. You know – they just might match. They seem real liberal on the matching – at least when I have matched before.

There might be BB coupons for moving on the surface also – I don’t remember.

    1. Doesn’t seem like it right now – everything is always in the future with them. You should know – you have one.

    2. Seems like if you are into the whole Xbox thing then it is cool when mixed with Windows 10. I’m not really into it and I haven’t read much about it. Sounds like they have made a lot of changes since the intro to make it more useful. The system lacked so many features when it was released that it really turned me off. At the time, I thought I might get one if it would have done a lot of the Media Center type things – but it didn’t seemed to do anything that I found useful.

From what Paul says about the Xbox One, it is a huge noisy power hungry beast.

    3. The newer version seems like it might be a good upgrade and it does 4K, which seems like the right way to go.

They were saying that the HDR gaming looks really great.

    4. I like the ps4. It would have to be really cheap or free to take on an Xbox at this point for me, or have a feature that ps4 doesn’t that I want.

Xbox one has some integration with live tv, but I have never used it. You would connect your satellite to the Xbox one and then Xbox one to the tv.

I think it adds an overlay with stats over sports games.

      And fantasy sports stats.
